Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the organizing committee, we warmly invite you to the Joint Conference of the Italian and Eastern Mediterranean Regions of the International Biometric Society (IBS-IR-EMR2025) event that will be held in Salerno, Italy, on September 16-18, 2025.

We are very happy to be organizing this event together as two neighbor regions of the International Biometric Society, Italy and the Eastern Mediterranean Regions. We are trying to prepare an event that is rich in both scientific and social aspects for you.

IBS-IR-EMR2025 will include pre-conference tutorials (September 15^th), invited sessions, as well as oral and poster presentations. We hope that the conference will provide for participants to exchange and discuss new ideas and establish research relations for future scientific collaborations. Apart from the scientific sessions, we have planned activities and social programs that our guests can enjoy in Salerno.

Salerno is a charming city located in the Campania region on the southwestern coast of Italy. Nestled between the Amalfi Coast and Cilento National Park, Salerno offers breathtaking views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and is rich in history and culture. The city boasts a heritage dating back thousands of years, from its origins in Roman times to its prominence during the medieval period. Salerno is home to the historic Salerno Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Matthew, and the medieval Castello di Arechi, which offers panoramic views of the city and the sea. Notably, Salerno is recognized for the Schola Medica Salernitana, the world's first medical school, which cemented its role as a cultural and educational hub.

The conference venue of IBS-IR-EMR2025 is in the center of Salerno, within walking distance of Salerno Train Station and to the city's attractions. As part of the social program of the event, social events will be organized to facilitate informal meetings between participants.
